Pakistan Railways Eid special trains will operate on four routes to help passengers travel more easily during the Eid holidays. According to a notification issued on Sunday, the decision was taken on the directions of the Minister for Railways.
The railways department said the move is aimed at providing maximum travel facilities during the holiday period. As a result, special services will run between major cities from March 16 to March 18.
Pakistan Railways Eid Special Trains Schedule
The first special train will depart from Lahore for Karachi on March 16. The second train will leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17.
On the same day, the third Eid special train will depart from Karachi for Peshawar. Then, the fourth special train will run from Karachi to Lahore on March 18.
The announced services cover several of the country’s key intercity routes. These include Lahore-Karachi, Quetta-Rawalpindi, Karachi-Peshawar, and Karachi-Lahore.
Pakistan Railways said the purpose of these trains is to make Eid travel easier for passengers. The special operations are part of efforts to handle increased demand during the festive period.
Eid holidays typically increase travel demand as people return to their hometowns or visit family. In response, Pakistan Railways has added four special services to improve travel convenience.
The department said the decision was taken specifically to offer maximum facilities to passengers during Eid.
