Pakistan’s petrol supply stabilises further as another fuel tanker has arrived, offering support to the country’s supply chain amid the Iran war.
According to the source text, the vessel arrived from Jizan Port as part of continued shipments of petroleum and other cargo. Officials and analysts said these imports should help maintain fuel availability and support refinery operations in the country.
Sources said the tanker MT Petazoli reached the port carrying 38,965 metric tonnes of motor oil and will berth at the FOTCO terminal. At the same time, two coal vessels and one palm oil ship remained at the outer anchorage awaiting handling.
Port activity also remained steady over the past 24 hours. Officials said the port handled a total of 10 vessels, including two container ships, five bulk carriers, and three petroleum product carriers.
Port Operations Continue as Fuel Imports Rise
Cargo data showed that the port handled a total of 168,850 metric tonnes. This included 136,936 metric tonnes of imports and 31,914 metric tonnes of exports.
Over the same period, eight ships arrived and two departed, while three more were expected to leave shortly. Port authorities said they had made arrangements to ensure cargo moved on time.
Maritime experts said the import of large quantities of crude oil and petrol would help stabilise the supply chain and ensure fuel remains available across the country. Analysts also said timely tanker arrivals would support refinery operations and help maintain a steady flow of petroleum products in the market.
These developments come as Pakistan continues to manage energy logistics carefully amid regional uncertainty and pressure on global supply routes.
