The Pakistan Navy on Wednesday launched PNS Ghazi, the fourth submarine of the Hangor-class Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) attack submarine programme. This event marked a key milestone in strengthening the country’s undersea warfare capability.
The Hangor-class submarines are designed to operate with advanced weapons and modern sensor suites. These features enable them to engage surface and subsurface targets at standoff ranges. Naval officials say these platforms will significantly enhance maritime situational awareness and deterrence.
