Spokesperson of the United States Department of State, Mark Toner, said on Wednesday that Pakistan needed to destroy safe havens of all terrorists.
Addressing a media briefing, the United States Department of State spokesperson said that any sort of suggestion to impose a ban on Pakistan was not under discussion. He said that the USA had not taken any sort of action that was against Pakistan.
“We are making our reservations clear, that we want Pakistan to act against all terrorist networks,” he said.
He also urged Pakistan to conduct action against all terrorists who were seeking a safe haven inside the nuclear-armed Islamic country. He appreciated the recent action taken by Pakistan on the border against militant outfits.
“Recently, Pakistan has taken action against some militants on the Afghan side of the border. This is encouraging,” he said.
This is the second time within a month that the United States has pressed Pakistan to act against militant networks.
