Pakistan’s military has pledged to eliminate security threats as the armed forces reaffirm their commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and stability. This statement was made on Pakistan Day, emphasising a united front in addressing terrorism and extremism.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the armed forces remain determined to ensure internal security alongside law enforcement agencies and the public.
Pakistan Day, celebrated on March 23, commemorates the Lahore Resolution of 1940. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described this event as a pivotal moment that united the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent under a common vision. The military leadership emphasised that this spirit of unity continues to guide the nation today.
Pakistan Armed Forces Reaffirm Commitment to Security
According to the ISPR, the armed forces remain steadfast in defending Pakistan’s borders and maintaining internal peace. They reiterated their resolve to counter all forms of terrorism and aggression.
The statement stressed the need for coordination among the military, law enforcement agencies, and citizens to strengthen national security.
Top commanders, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, congratulated the nation. They praised the people’s resilience and paid tribute to their role in supporting national stability and progress.
The ISPR noted that Pakistan continues to act as a responsible member of the international community. It highlighted the country’s commitment to promoting peace, cooperation, and regional stability.
Officials also reaffirmed efforts to strengthen institutions and improve citizens’ well-being. The statement followed recent military actions in response to cross-border attacks. Security forces reportedly targeted militant groups, including TTP elements, during operations.
Meanwhile, Pakistan announced a temporary pause in Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. Authorities said the move aligns with Eid ul Fitr and reflects goodwill toward friendly nations.
The ISPR concluded that Pakistan remains united in its journey toward long-term prosperity. It emphasised resilience, national unity, and a firm commitment to democratic progress.
