Pakistan’s first multi-mission satellite, PAKSAT MM1, has successfully become operational under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) guidance.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the nation’s space and digital development initiatives.

The successful deployment of PAKSAT-MM1 is set to revolutionize Pakistan’s communication infrastructure, benefiting various sectors within the IT industry.

The satellite will deliver services including television broadcasting, community internet, and tele-education, all of which are aimed at supporting local industries.

Additionally, PAKSAT MM1 will enhance internet connectivity in remote areas, advancing the government’s Digital Pakistan vision.

Pakistan has also risen 14 places in the United Nations E-Governance Development Index, improving from 150th in 2022 to 136th.
