The PMD urges residents, especially seniors, children, and women, to take precautions during this intense spell. Avoid direct sunlight, stay hydrated, and watch for signs of heat-related illnesses.
Thunderstorms Sweep the North
Meanwhile, a shallow westerly wave will arrive Tuesday evening and affect northern Pakistan until April 11. Expect dust storms, thunderstorms, and scattered rain in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, the Pothohar region, and northeast Punjab. Isolated hailstorms could strike, and gusty winds are forecast for the plains of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.

With heat and storms on the horizon, preparation is key. Southern residents should limit outdoor activity and drink plenty of water. In the north, secure loose items and stay updated on local weather alerts. This dual weather pattern underscores Pakistan’s diverse climate challenges this week.
