The federal government of Pakistan has announced a decrease in fuel prices. The reduction includes a Rs2.04 per litre decrease in petrol prices, a Rs6.47 reduction for diesel, Rs6.05 less for kerosene oil, and a significant Rs9.01 drop per litre for light-speed diesel (LSD).
As a result, the new prices stand at Rs281.34 for petrol, Rs296.71 for diesel, Rs204.98 for kerosene oil, and Rs180.45 for LSD.
This announcement follows a notable reduction in mid-October, where Rs40 slashed petrol prices per litre. According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notification on October 15, petrol was priced at Rs283.38 per litre after this substantial cut.
High-speed diesel (HSD) prices were reduced by Rs15 per litre to Rs303.18, and kerosene oil prices were lowered by Rs22.43 per litre to Rs214.85. However, on November 1, the prices for petrol and diesel were maintained for 15 days, while kerosene oil saw a further drop of Rs3.82 to Rs211.3, and Rs3.4 reduced light diesel to Rs189.46.”
