Gold prices in Pakistan dropped significantly on Monday, with the rate per tola falling by Rs1,100 to close at Rs260,400.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs 943, settling at Rs 223,251.
Internationally, gold prices also declined, with the price per ounce decreasing by $7 to $2,490, according to APGJSA data.
After a period of stability, silver prices in the local market decreased by Rs50, reaching Rs2,850 per tola.
The volatility in local gold prices reflects the influence of international market trends and domestic factors such as currency exchange rates and local demand.
