Pakistan is considering boycotting the T20 World Cup 2026 if Bangladesh decides not to take part due to security concerns about travelling to India.
According to the sources reported by Geo News, Pakistan may withdraw from the event if the International Cricket Council rejects Bangladesh’s request to shift its matches away from India.
Bangladesh has refused to play its scheduled matches in India, citing safety concerns amid strained political relations between the two neighbours. Dhaka has instead asked to stage those matches in Sri Lanka, which is also set to co-host the tournament.

Sources said Pakistan supports Bangladesh’s position and expects the ICC to consider security concerns seriously. They added that a refusal to adjust venues could force Pakistan to reconsider its participation.
The ICC has not yet issued an official response to Bangladesh’s request. However, officials continue consultations as preparations for the tournament move forward.
The situation adds uncertainty to the build-up of the global event, with participating nations closely watching the ICC’s final decision.
