In a rapid counterattack, Pakistan’s Army neutralized eight assailants during an attempted incursion at Gwadar Port Authority Colony. An ISPR report disclosed this achievement, highlighting the preemptive action against the assault on Wednesday.
The narrative details an attempted breach by eight militants at the colony, efficiently repelled by security personnel. The ISPR recounted, “Security forces immediately countered, neutralizing all eight assailants.”
Recovered from the scene were significant arms, ammunition, and explosives. The clash claimed the lives of Sepoys Bahar Khan, 35, and Imran Ali, 28, both hailed as martyrs for their valiant service.
The ISPR underscored the military’s dedication to safeguarding Balochistan’s peace, bolstered by such sacrifices. Government official Saeed Ahmed Umrani reported the terrorists, armed and explosive-laden, attacked the port’s adjacent complex, instigating a bombardment followed by gunfire.
In another development, 12 terrorists were eliminated in a Mach operation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the forces’ bravery and effectiveness in averting the Gwadar assault, acknowledging the fallen personnel’s sacrifices. He stressed the attack’s motive to undermine national economic growth, pledging resistance against such threats.
Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also praised the operational success and emphasized a stern stance against violence.
