On Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed the Pakistan Army’s full support to the caretaker government’s efforts to enhance Pakistan’s economy and drive national progress. This commitment was vocalized during the fourth apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) since the interim government took office.

Chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and attended by top officials, the meeting reviewed the progress and achievements of the SIFC. The prime minister lauded the SIFC’s collaborative governance approach, resulting in horizontal and vertical synergy.

The committee acknowledged SIFC’s international outreach, including engagements with countries like Saudi Arabia and organizations like the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS). Emphasizing confidence in the SIFC, the committee supported its vision for economic rejuvenation and endorsed projects in sectors like agriculture, IT, and energy.

Concluding the meeting, the prime minister emphasized the swift execution of these projects, leveraging the favourable conditions established by the SIFC.
