Pakistan’s Army Chief of Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and the commander of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) recently emphasized the significance of maintaining regional peace and stability during General Munir’s visit to China.
In a statement from Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Munir’s four-day visit to China began with a trip to the PLA Army Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, General Munir received a guard of honor and inspected the immaculately dressed contingent of soldiers. During his comprehensive meeting with the PLA commander, they discussed the regional security situation and the challenges faced by both countries. The conversation focused on enhancing military-to-military collaboration to address these challenges effectively.
As part of the visit, General Munir observed a demonstration showcasing the operational capabilities of PLA troops. He commended the soldiers for their professionalism and high training standards, reflecting the strong military ties between Pakistan and China.
General Munir is scheduled to attend additional meetings with Chinese military officials throughout his visit to strengthen the longstanding ties between the two armies. These meetings aim to explore new avenues for cooperation and deepen the existing military-to-military relationship between Pakistan and China. This collaboration is expected to contribute to the overall goal of maintaining regional peace and stability.
