The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) recently demonstrated the long-range operational capabilities of its indigenous JF-17 fighter jets during Exercise Spears of Victory-2025 in Saudi Arabia.
According to the military’s media wing, the PAF contingent has returned home. This international exercise, hosted at King Abdul Aziz Air Base, saw participation from the air forces of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, France, Greece, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that for this deployment, PAF fighters completed a nonstop flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and back. This included in-flight air-to-air refuelling, showcasing the JF-17 Block-III aircraft’s long-range capabilities.
The PAF’s contribution featured JF-17 Block-III fighter jets, combat pilots and technical ground crew. The JF-17 Block-III was recognized for its standout performance in combat scenarios, highlighting its technological advancements and operational potential against other advanced fighter jets.
The purpose of the exercise was to boost interoperability among the participating nations through realistic air combat simulations. The ISPR emphasized that the PAF’s involvement underlines its dedication to remaining at the forefront of aerial warfare by engaging in joint exercises and modern combat training.
