Abdul Majeed, an IT professional turned bodybuilder from Pakistan, clinched the Mr. Universe title and two gold medals at the 2024 World Fitness Federation event in Las Vegas.
Majeed earned his professional card by securing gold in both the open masters and super extreme categories, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Starting at Core Karachi Gym, he quickly built a reputation as a dedicated fitness professional, continuously competing and advancing in bodybuilding.
His achievement in Las Vegas, a competition with participants from 42 countries, comes after years of rigorous training and dedication. Majeed’s journey to the top included titles such as Mr. Karachi in 2014 and Mr. Pakistan in 2020, alongside managing multiple jobs to pursue his dream.
“Securing a pro card is every bodybuilder’s dream. For this event, I trained intensely for six months,” Majeed shared. “Despite financial and logistical challenges, I managed on my own. Winning the medals was profoundly emotional; I held the Pakistani flag high, overwhelmed by achieving my lifelong dream amid such a strong international field.”

Now based in Dubai, Majeed has received support from the World Fitness Federation Pakistan, enhancing his ability to represent his country internationally.
He highlighted that two other Pakistanis competed in Las Vegas, winning gold and the other silver.
Discussing the state of bodybuilding in Pakistan, Majeed pointed out the sport’s fragmentation, suggesting that uniting under a single federation could propel its development. Committed to giving back, Majeed now aims to guide fellow Pakistani bodybuilders in achieving their dreams and securing their professional status internationally.
