Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the,” operation against the terrorists is for the sake of survival of Pakistan, therefore, search operation is underway in specific areas of Punjab.”
Talking to media men in Lahore earlier today, the minister vowed to weed out terrorism from the country as soon as possible.
“We are going to take solid action against anti-state and anti-people elements wherever they will be found. Therefore, search operation is continuing in specific areas of Punjab,” he announced.
Hundreds of people have been arrested during the operation, he said, adding forceful action has been initiated in the light of investigation made from the detained persons.
He stated that police, Rangers and CTD are participating in the operation. “No one should indulge in political point scoring in terms of operation against the terrorists,” he added.
Citing to operation Zarb-e-Azb, he said that our security agencies have achieved vital successes during operation. Major network of terrorists has been dismantled and only a few elements are left who will be brought to their logical end soon.
