One man died while five were injured when the roof of a mosque collapsed in Ghareebabad area of Peshawar city.
According to details, the roof of the mosque collapsed due to torrential downpour. Initially, six people were injured in the accident and were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries due to the non-availability of paramedical staff.
Death of the injured infuriated the relatives of the victims and they started protesting violently inside the hospital.
As soon as the news reached provincial health minister Shehram Khan, he reached the hospital and taking notice of the absence of staff, ordered a punitive action against them and dismissed the hospital in charge.
Shehram Khan assured the aggrieved families of provision of justice.
