The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 6.37 per kilogram across Pakistan, according to an official notification issued on Saturday.
Following the revision, the new LPG price stands at Rs 226.60 per kg. The increase has raised the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 75.21, bringing the price of an 11.8 kg cylinder to Rs 2,667.40.
This is the second consecutive monthly increase in LPG prices. In January 2026, OGRA raised the LPG price by Rs 10.68 per kg nationwide. That adjustment led to a Rs 126.09 increase in the price of a domestic cylinder.
Earlier, in December, OGRA had also raised LPG rates. At that time, the authority raised the price by Rs 7.39 per kg, taking it to Rs 208.99 per kg. The cost of an 11.8 kg household cylinder rose to Rs 2,466.10, while commercial cylinders were priced at Rs 9,488.
OGRA linked the December increase to a 4.93 percent rise in Saudi Aramco’s Contract Price (CP), a key international benchmark for LPG pricing. The regulator noted that a slight decline of 0.15 percent in the average US dollar exchange rate partially offset the impact of the hike.
The authority reiterated that LPG prices in Pakistan follow international market trends. These include global crude oil prices, Saudi Aramco’s CP, and currency fluctuations.
LPG remains a primary fuel source for many households, especially in areas without access to natural gas. Repeated price increases have added pressure on domestic budgets and commercial users alike.
OGRA said it determines prices through a transparent formula based on international benchmarks to ensure consistency and clarity for consumer
