Pakistan: Former Governor of Punjab Latif Khosa said during a hearing of the Ayyan ECL case on Thursday that to not allow the supermodel to fly out of Pakistan was against the decision of the court.
Latif Khosa said that earlier decisions of the high court and supreme court had declared that dishonesty were involved in the matter. He also reminded the court that in the decisions of the high court and the supreme court, it was also stated that roles were violated in Ayyan’s ECL case.
“This is not a case where we forgive and forget and move on,” he said. “A mockery is constantly being made of the court and its decisions,” he added.
Latif Khosa also said that this was not the mere issue of one Ayyan Ali but a matter of the integrity of Pakistanis and the court.
The Additional Attorney General stated that the high court had shown patience by not holding the government in contempt of court.
After repeated decisions by the high court and the supreme court to exclude Ayyan’s name from the ECL, supermodel Ayyan was stopped more than once by the Interior Ministry from flying abroad.
