A loud explosion followed by ongoing gunfire was reported on Saturday in Boya, a town located in North Waziristan.
According to security-focused outlet The Khorasan Diary, a suicide bomber detonated near the Boya battalion headquarters. Following the explosion, assailants attempted to infiltrate the facility.

At approximately 0751 hours, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the fort, triggering an attempted breach by four additional attackers.
Troops from the Quick Reaction/Security Action Team responded swiftly, neutralising three terrorists outside the perimeter wall, while forces engaged and eliminated the fourth assailant outside the fort.
