NIH Pakistan reports Two Covid19 deaths in 24 hours

The National Institute of Health (NIH) has reported that Pakistan has had two Covid-19-related deaths and 22 new cases in the last 24 hours.

NIH conducted 5,126 Covid-19 tests, and 22 (0.43%) samples were positive. In total, 1,575,855 cases have been confirmed, with 30,638 deaths.

Sindh Health Department confirms XBB and XBB-1 Omicron sub-variants in Karachi. The health department in Karachi reported six cases of Covid-19 XBB and XBB-1.

They confirmed that South Asia was secure from BF.

According to sources, BF.7 or BA.5.2.1.7, a sub-variant of the highly infectious Omicron variety, is causing a surge in coronavirus cases in China.
