The National Highway Authority has announced another toll tax increase on the Lahore-Islamabad M2 motorway.

The adjustment sees toll rates for various vehicle types rise between 3 and 19 rupees per kilometer. As a result, the cost of travelling the 360-kilometre stretch between Lahore and Islamabad will now reach thousands of rupees.

The updated toll rates for cars, jeeps, and taxis are 3.39 rupees per kilometer. Wagons will be charged 5.66 rupees per kilometer, and buses will incur a cost of 7.93 rupees per kilometer. Toll rates for trucks vary between 11 and 19 rupees per kilometer, depending on the category.
