Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif vowed to develop Gilgit Baltistan (GB) at like other parts of the country.
Addressing a public gathering during his visit to GB on Tuesday, the PM said “I have come here to give you development projects… Nawaz Sharif’s heart beats with people of Gilgit Baltistan,”
PM also announced to establish Baltistan University in Sarkdu and a major road projects.
To build small medium enterprise industry he announced to start financing upto Rs 2 million.
He announced to give district status to Nagar, Hunza, Khar Mang and Shigar.
He also announced to visit Gilgit Baltistan to attend Council meetings.
“In the past, this meeting took place in Islamabad instead of Gilgit. Meeting should take place where the council is located,” Mr Sharif added.
“Today I have come to talk about development, I am not here to do politics of container and use abusive language as you know I don’t respond to such language,” he said.
