Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday discussed the prevailing situation in the region on phone.
A brief press release issued by the Pakistan Mission to the UN said the discussion took place “at length”.
Sources disclosed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had a telephonic conversation with army chief General Raheel Sharif and discussed the regional situation during their conversation.
PM Nawaz is in New York to attend the 71st United Nations General Assembly where he is expected to speak on important regional and global issues but place special emphasis on the deteriorating condition of human rights and violence in occupied Kashmir.
