Outgoing Chief of Naval Staff Amiral Asif Sandila today (Monday) paid a farewell visit to General Headquarters (GHW) in Rawalpindi to meet Army Chief General Raheel Sharif.
According to sources, both discussed matters of mutual interest.
Army Chief General Raheel Sharif also lauded Asif Sandila’s professional services including mutual cooperation in war on terrorism.
Asif Sandila, the 19th Chief of Naval Staff, will retire on October 7. The new naval chief will be appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
