National Assembly bans “TikTokers” and “YouTubers”

The national assembly secretariat has barred TikTokers, YouTubers, and social media influencers from entering the National Assembly building.

Information indicates that social media influencers who are not accredited would be denied entry to the national assembly grounds.

Some YouTubers and social media influencers got into an argument and misbehaved with some lawmakers on December 23, 2022, which led to the issued ban.

The National Assembly Secretariat has decided that only accredited media organizations and their staff members (reporters, journalists, and media employees) would be permitted admission to provide additional security.

Social media influencers, YouTubers, and TikTokers interested in covering its proceedings must first register with Press Information Department (PID) and a session card to gain access to the Parliament Buildings.
