Eid Miladun Nabi (S.A.W.), commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet, is celebrated today with immense religious enthusiasm throughout the nation. The day began with a thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one salutes in provincial capitals.
Post-Fajr prayers saw special petitions in mosques, praying for the Muslim Ummah’s unity and the nation’s prosperity. Across the country, there are a series of conferences, Mehfil-e-Milad, and events to honour the last messenger, whose teachings remain a guiding light for humanity.
In celebration of this revered occasion, mosques, homes, buildings, streets, and roads are adorned with vibrant lights. The Punjab region, including Lahore, is immersed in festivities, with illuminated streets and houses.
Regional Celebrations Amplified
In Sindh, including its capital, Karachi, the festivities resonate with deep respect for the Holy Prophet (SAWW). Special events, Mehfil-Milaad, and processions are taking place, emphasizing the prophet’s life as an eternal source of inspiration. Three major processions in Karachi navigate different parts of the region.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s enthusiasm mirrors the national spirit. Peshawar’s central procession starts from Milad Chowk and, after traversing its traditional paths, concludes at Qissa Khwani Bazaar. Marketplaces and streets in the city sparkle with festive decorations.
Balochistan joins in with similar intensity. A significant procession will commence from Saryab Road, going through traditional paths before ending at Jamiat Roy Road in Quetta.
Various organizations, spanning religious, political, educational, and social spheres, have organized special programs in observance of the day. Along the LoC, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) is celebrated with devoutness. In Muzaffarabad, government and private structures have been adorned with colourful lights and buntings. Devotees have organized Darood-o-Salam gatherings across mosques, homes, and marketplaces.
The day’s onset was marked by Darood o Salam, special prayers for the nation’s prosperity, and aspirations for the Kashmir liberation Movement’s success. Across the state, Mahafil-e-Milaad, Seerat Conferences, and processions are in full swing, honouring the auspicious day fittingly.
