In his program on Samaa TV, Najam Sethi expressed concerns about the potential dismissal of the current government led by the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and its coalition partners.
Sethi speculated that the government might be removed because it is not effectively running the country or fulfilling Pakistan’s establishment’s agenda. He suggested that this situation could pave the way for an interim government.
Sethi further claimed that Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister and prominent PMLN leader, is already crafting a narrative to justify any potential ousting. According to Sethi, Maryam is preparing to leverage the narrative of “Mujhe Kyun Nikala” (Why was I expelled?) to explain the government’s dismissal and garner public sympathy.
Sethi’s remarks underscore the political tension and uncertainty surrounding the current administration’s future. His analysis suggests that Maryam Nawaz preemptively positions herself and the party to respond to any forced removal from power by framing it as unjust and politically motivated.
