Continuing its drive to expand citizen-centric digital services, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new vehicle verification facility for the buying and selling of registered vehicles in Sindh, according to media reports.
The initiative, introduced in collaboration with the Sindh government, allows citizens to verify vehicles directly through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application. Using the app, buyers and sellers can confirm essential vehicle details remotely, reducing the need for physical visits during the initial stages of a transaction.
Once the vehicle’s credentials are successfully verified through the Pak ID app, users can proceed with the remaining registration and transfer formalities at the relevant provincial departments. Officials say the move is designed to increase transparency, curb fraud, and streamline the vehicle transfer process.

Separately, NADRA has launched a pilot project to further improve public access to its services by leveraging selected e-Sahulat franchises. Under this initiative, citizens can apply to have lost Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) reissued and to renew expired CNICs without visiting NADRA registration centres.
According to NADRA officials, the pilot phase has been launched at 18 e-Sahulat franchises across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. The objective is to reduce congestion at NADRA offices and make essential identity-related services more accessible at the community level.
Officials believe these digital and decentralised measures will significantly improve service delivery, save citizens time, and strengthen trust in official verification processes.
