The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced a simplified process for obtaining Succession Certificates. Legal heirs can now apply at any of the 186 Succession Facilitation Units (SFUs) located throughout Pakistan.
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has established facilitation units in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan to streamline the succession certificate application process nationwide.
Under the updated system, applicants are no longer required to submit their documentation in the province where the inherited property is located, removing a significant barrier previously faced by many legal heirs. With the implementation of upgraded biometric verification, heirs may now confirm their identity at any NADRA centre or remotely via the Pak ID Mobile App.

The latest advancement enhances accessibility and convenience, ensuring that all Succession Facilitation Units (SFUs) are fully equipped to process applications efficiently across Pakistan
Previously, heirs faced difficulties due to provincial restrictions on application submissions, despite the availability of biometric verification through the Pak ID Mobile App. The new policy addresses these challenges, enabling citizens to initiate and complete the entire process from any location, significantly reducing logistical hurdles.
NADRA’s streamlined Succession Certificate process enhances accessibility for legal heirs, promoting inclusivity and efficiency in Pakistan’s civic services. This reform supports heirs in securing their rights effortlessly, strengthening public trust in digital governance.
