A modern National Database and Registration Authority registration centre has been established in Malir Cantonment, with services officially starting from January 15.
Major General Adnan Sultan visited the newly inaugurated facility, where Aamir Ali Khan, Director General of NADRA’s Regional Head Office Karachi, briefed him on available services and the public service delivery system.
To improve access and efficiency, the centre features four one-window counters with a daily processing capacity of 120 to 150 tokens. The setup aims to reduce wait times while ensuring smooth service flow for area residents.
The facility also includes a dedicated thalassaemia testing counter, a Pak-Identity (Pak-ID) services desk, a separate counter for succession certificates, and a self-service kiosk to enhance public convenience.
Earlier, NADRA expanded access to identity documents and CNIC renewals through selected e-Sahulat franchises nationwide, bringing essential services closer to citizens.
Responding to public queries, NADRA spokesperson Shabahat Ali Syed said that while registrations of marriages, divorces, births, and deaths are rising, overall public reporting of these events remains low.
To address this gap, NADRA has partnered with Radio Pakistan to raise awareness about the importance of timely registration of vital life events. Officials believe the initiative will strengthen national records and improve service planning
