The latest NADRA Pak ID app update introduces two new features to make the application process faster and easier for citizens. According to the source text, version 5.5.7 of the mobile app now includes passport capture or upload and faster biometric verification.
These additions are designed to simplify how users complete applications through the app. NADRA has also highlighted broader access to services through its nationwide e-sahulat franchise network.
Under the new update, users can now upload a photo of their passport or capture it directly through the app. The system then automatically extracts key details, including the applicant’s name, passport number, and expiry date.
In addition, version 5.5.7 adds a dedicated biometric verification section. This feature supports facial recognition across all application categories, helping users complete verification more smoothly.
The source text also says citizens from 193 countries can now apply for any visa category with greater ease through the updated system.
The new tools focus on reducing manual data entry and improving convenience. By scanning passport details automatically and offering quicker biometric checks, the app is expected to make the process more efficient for users.
To access the new features, users can update the Pak ID app to version 5.5.7 or download the latest version from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
NADRA Also Shares e-Sahulat Franchise Details
Separately, NADRA has issued a full list of more than 3,000 e-sahulat franchises set up across Pakistan, according to the source text. The list also includes information about the owners of those franchises.
Officials said these centres offer several services, including the issuance of a computerised national identity card, renewal of existing CNICs, and other related facilities.
Parents can also obtain B-forms for children under 10 years of age through these centres. In addition, CNICs of deceased persons can be cancelled there.
NADRA officials said the e-sahulat network is intended to help people living in far-flung areas access services without needing to visit NADRA offices.
That expansion, combined with the latest Pak ID app update, reflects a wider push to make identity and registration services more accessible through both digital tools and local service points.
