The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has opened a new Citizen Facilitation Centre in Islamabad’s G-11 area to enhance access to essential identity services. The facility will be inaugurated on July 18, 2025, consolidating key offerings under one roof to reduce wait times and eliminate the need for multiple visits. NADRA aims to decentralise operations, making them more convenient for residents of Islamabad and those in surrounding regions.
The centre enhances previous expansions to union councils in Saidpur, Sihala, and Model Town, representing a significant advancement in efficiency. It aims to serve thousands of users weekly with faster processing and an improved user experience.
The Citizen Facilitation Centre provides a wide array of identity-related services, including:
- Issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs)
- Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms)
- Family Registration Certificates (FRCs)
- Marital status updates
- Cancellation of identity documents due to death
NADRA has implemented new regulations for FRC issuance that require applicants to provide assurance verifying the accuracy of their data. FRCs will now be based solely on NADRA records and will define three family types.
- Alpha (by birth)
- Beta (by marriage)
- Gamma (by adoption)
Users must register any unlisted family members. Corrections or removals of inaccurate entries can be made via NADRA offices or the mobile app. The updated system includes complete details for men with multiple marriages, eliminating previous ambiguities.
