Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched an innovative facility that enables citizens to deposit funds into accounts at over 50 banks through the NADRA e-Sahulat platform.
NADRA’s new service follows a strategic agreement between NADRA Technologies Limited and 1LINK, formalized in a ceremony attended by State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Saleemullah and the NADRA chairman.
With over 9,000 e-Sahulat franchises set to roll out nationwide, the initiative ensures secure biometric verification for depositors while expanding access to financial services. According to NADRA, the development will significantly boost the scope of digital banking in Pakistan.

Additionally, NADRA has addressed previous concerns by clarifying that biometric verification issues are unrelated to its systems. The agency’s “Verisys” system is available for identity verification to all financial institutions.
In collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), NADRA is also introducing a facial recognition verification system, which will soon be accessible to banks and telecom operators.
