Islamabad: In a landmark initiative, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new e-Katchery system to help citizens resolve complaints from their homes.
As the country’s sole institution responsible for issuing national identity cards and other official documents, NADRA is taking major steps toward digital governance. It is also enhancing public convenience.
Under the special directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Director General of NADRA Regional Office Lahore will host a live e-Katchery session. This will be available through the official NADRA YouTube channel. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
During the session, citizens can directly communicate with the DG NADRA Lahore, share their concerns, and receive real-time assistance. They can also expect issue resolution. To join the live stream, visit @nadraofficial on YouTube or contact 042-99232809 for details.
NADRA has recently launched a digital birth and death registration system in collaboration with provincial governments. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and security of registrations at hospitals and healthcare centres. These advancements are in line with the National Biometric and Registration Policy Framework, which was approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on January 1, 2025.
Under the guidance of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, NADRA is working to enhance digital access throughout Pakistan. The organization aims to improve data accuracy and tackle registration challenges. Officials state that the goal is to make NADRA’s services more citizen-centric, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and ease of access. This initiative will benefit Pakistanis both at home and abroad.
