The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released important guidance for citizens seeking to renew their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs). The authority actively promotes the use of its official Pak-ID mobile application for a secure and convenient renewal process.
Officials advise that citizens can instantly submit their CNIC renewal application through the Pak ID app. This digital service allows individuals to receive their updated identity card via home delivery, streamlining the entire procedure.
In a separate security alert, NADRA has issued a stern warning regarding a fake website designed to impersonate the authority. The authority identified idcardtracking.online as a fraudulent platform operating under the name “NADRA Card Centre.”
NADRA confirmed that this website has no official affiliation with the authority. It is reportedly involved in deceptive activities aimed at defrauding citizens.
The authority specifically cautioned overseas Pakistanis, particularly those residing in the United Kingdom, to remain highly vigilant against such scams. The public advisory strongly urges all citizens not to engage with unauthorised agents or third-party service providers for any identity-related services.

To prevent fraud and protect personal data, NADRA asserts that individuals should exclusively use the official Pak-ID mobile application for all identification services. To address this threat, NADRA has formally submitted a complaint to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. The request seeks a thorough inquiry into the fraudulent website and its operations.
This proactive step underscores NADRA’s commitment to safeguarding citizen data and maintaining the integrity of the national identification system.
