Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry earlier today called on Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.

Sources said Chairman NAB discussed with the Chief Justice important issues pertaining to corruption cases.

In the meeting, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry presented the progress report of the NAB to Chief Justice.

The meeting between NAB chief and CJP Jamali was held at the later’s chamber.

It may be mentioned here that the government has decided to form a  judicial commission over Panama leaks.

The government will write a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for constituting the commission, to probe into allegations against the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Sources said PM Nawaz has made up his mind to approach the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJ) for the constitution of a commission to probe the Panama Papers.

The formal announcement is expected today.
