Earlier today an Election Tribunal reserved its judgement on an application filed by Chairman PTI Imran Khan against the Local Commission that compiled a report on the alleged rigging in NA-122.
Khan had contended in his application that the Local Commission’s statements on the media created a negative impact on the case.
He claimed that there were clear evidences of rigging in NA-122 but they were not made part of the commission’s fact finding report.
Local Commission head Ghulam Hussain Awan had said that fake ballot papers were not found during the vote audit in NA-122.
The Tribunal has also accepted an application of the National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to appear personally before the tribunal to record his statement.
Tribunal has called Sadiq to record his statement next Saturday.
Sadiq had stood victorious against Khan in the last general elections from this constituency.
