The MQM chief Altaf Hussain urged the prime minister to play a “positive” role in resolving the election-rigging controversy peacefully.
He said that holding demos, rallies and taking out processions in support of their demands is the right of all the political parties and the use of unconstitutional and undemocratic means to scuttle them should be avoided.
He also appealed to the parties holding protest rallies and processions to remain peaceful and avoid using any unlawful means to ensure that their message gets across peacefully.
