The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has called a meeting of general workers to formulate an action plan in advance of the elections for local government (LG) in Karachi and Hyderabad.
According to the information provided, a general workers’ meeting has been called by MQM-P on November 30.
The agenda of the meeting matters concerning elections for local governments (LG) and arrangements with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will be discussed in the meeting.
MQM(P) has requested that all LG representatives be present at the meeting.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, convener of the MQM-P, would provide the party workers with instructions on preparedness for the LG elections.
Earlier in the day, the MQM-P asked the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to rectify constituencies in preparation for the upcoming elections for the local government (LG) in Karachi and Hyderabad.
The MQM-P, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, recently met with the PPP co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, to discuss the next local government (LG) elections in Karachi and Hyderabad.
The two political leaders met and discussed implementing the agreement, including the delimitation of constituencies and the voter lists.
It is important to note that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rendered a decision regarding the conduct of local government elections in the divisions of Karachi and Hyderabad.
The local government elections will be held on January 15 across all districts of Karachi and Hyderabad.
