MQM Member National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Asif who was shot in Lahore on Wednesday passed away just after Thursday midnight.Tahira Asif was shifted to ICU on Thursday after a long surgery.
MQM leaders demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
She was travelling in Allama Iqbal Town when she was stopped by unknown assailants who first confirmed her identity prior to shooting her in abdomen and leg.
She was immediately shifted to Sheikh Zaid Hospital. According to the doctors four bullets pierced her body.
Doctors took out all the bullets and shifted her to the ICU but she was again taken to operation theatre owing to blood loss where she was again operated.
After the second successful surgery, she has been shifted to ICU.
