Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced not take part in the election of new Sindh Chief Minister.
Senior MQM leader Sardar Ahmed while talking to the media said “We will neither support nor oppose the election of Murad Ali Shah as the Chief Minister of Sindh,”
Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan said “We will not join this drama. There is no hope of policy change by changing a face,”
Hassan also protested the removal of Qaim Ali Shah.
“The way Qaim Ali Shah was asked to resign was deplorable,” he said, adding that Murad Ali Shah was party of the destruction caused by the PPP in Sindh over the last eight years.
The eight-year rule of Qaim Ali Shah came to an end on Wednesday after he stepped down as Chief Minister of Shah. His resignation was accepted by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad.
The decision to reshuffle the Sindh cabinet was taken at a high-level meeting jointly chaired by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai this week.
