Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will mark Sunday as a Black Day

MQM has announced to protest against Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khurshid Shah’s terming  “Mohajir” (migrant) a swearword.

MQM leader Abdul Haseeb, addressing a press conference here on Saturday at MQM headquarter “Nine-Zero”, said that Khurshid Shah, not once, not twice, but at least at four times hurt the feelings of those Pakistanis, who migrated (to Pakistan) from India at the time of partition in 1947. He repeatedly said that the word Mohajir is an expletive to me, which is outrageous”,

Haseeb also quoted various verses of Holy Quran and Hadiths associated to the “Mohajir”.

He further stated that “Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the Syed-ul-Mohajireen (the chief of migrants in the history of Pakistan) as he is the one who led the first migration of Muslims from Mecca to Medina more than 1400 years ago. Also, a number of Sahabah (Companions of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) migrated to other parts of world form Arab to spread the message of Islam”,
