The district government has closed Gilgit main road due to landsliding whereas the breakage of two bridges in Rando has caused as many as 500 families stranded.
As per details – glaciers melting has also worsened the flood – creating fear among the locals. The ongoing inundation has completely demolished crops, gardens and trees while land sliding has disconnected the road route of several villages.
