Cinthya Nayeli Higareda Bermejo, a 30-year-old model of Venezuelan origin, tragically died during a photo shoot near train tracks in Zacoalco de Torres, close to Guadalajara, Mexico.
According to the newspaper ‘El Sol,’ Higareda Bermejo was posing when a high-speed train travelling at over 180 kilometres per hour “sucked” her in.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but could only confirm her death upon arrival. The accident left her body mere centimetres from the tracks, surrounded by a tripod and photographic equipment.
Higareda Bermejo, a resident of Tlajomulco de Zuniga, had intended to capture the train in the background of her photos but got too close.
Luis Joaquin Mendez Ruiz, head of the State Prosecutor’s Office, stated that preliminary information suggests the train caught her clothes, leading to the fatal accident. Authorities will continue to investigate the incident to gather more details.
