Fatima Bosch of Mexico achieved a lifelong dream by winning the Miss Universe 2025 crown. However, her victory in Bangkok, Thailand, is now shadowed by serious allegations of impropriety.
The 25-year-old model’s win is being questioned by Omar Harfouch, a musician who performed at the ceremony. He claims the result was influenced by business connections. Omar Harfouch made a bold statement after the event. He declared he knew Miss Mexico would win 24 hours before the final.
“I, Omar Harfouch, declared yesterday, exclusively on HBO, 24 hours before the final of Miss Universe, that Miss Mexico would win because the owner of Miss Universe, Raul Rocha, has business with the father of Fatima Bosch,” Harfouch stated.
He further alleged that Rocha told him the win “will be good for our business.”
Who is Fatima Bosch’s Father?
The accusation centres on Bernardo Bosch Hernandez, Fatima’s father. He is a prominent figure in Mexico as the General Director of Exploration and Production for Pemex, the state-owned oil company. The controversy suggests his high-level business dealings with pageant owner Raul Rocha created an unfair advantage for his daughter.

Raul Rocha, President of the Miss Universe Organisation, has publicly denied these allegations. He dismissed Harfouch’s claims as an attempt to gain attention. Rocha defended the integrity of the competition. “The lights are reflected for two minutes, and in two minutes, no one can call the lights. The only ones who can shine are our Miss Universe around the world,” he commented.
He concluded by saying, “I don’t want to say more. This is enough.”
Despite this denial, the allegations have ignited a global debate. The conversation now questions the transparency and fairness of the prestigious pageant’s judging process.
