A 16-inch diameter gas pipeline was blown up in Dera Bugti on Tuesday, security officials said.
According to an official of the Levies personnel, unknown sabotours planted explosives in the pipeline of wells No 12, 15, 21, 23 and 29 in the Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti.
The explosive devices were detonated through remote control. The blast damaged the pipeline suspending the gas supply to the Sui plant from the wells.
Security forces rushed to the crime scene after the explosion and threw a cordon around the area. The PPL official claimed that they had started repairing the damaged pipeline.
