Boxing icon Mike Tyson recently clarified a humorous misunderstanding in a widely viewed video featuring social media star Hasbulla Magomedov.
In the video, Tyson is seen playfully sparring with Hasbulla before lifting and cradling him, mistaking him for a child. In an interview with former middleweight champion Andre Ward, Tyson revealed his initial confusion, saying, “I thought it was a baby… I was hugging this guy, and he’s like 26 years old. I knew nothing at all!”
Hasbulla, 22 is affected by a rare form of dwarfism that results in growth hormone deficiency. He has gained popularity in combat sports circles, often mingling with fighters at various events. His appearance on Tyson’s HotBoxin podcast in 2023 contributed to his meteoric rise on social media.
Tyson shared his thoughts on the upcoming match as he prepares for his much-anticipated boxing comeback on November 15 against Jake Paul in Dallas. Despite the age gap, with Paul being 31 years younger, Tyson is confident and ready. “He’s supposed to be the young guy; I’m supposed to be the old man… I think he should try it,” Tyson noted, emphasizing that his rigorous training regimen has him in excellent condition. He promised fans a thrilling event, saying, “It’s going to be a wonderful evening; the city of Dallas is going to be entertained.”
This upcoming bout has generated significant excitement within the boxing community. Fans and analysts are keen to see how the veteran Tyson will fare against the younger, social-media-famous Paul.
