Former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has accepted Pakistan Cricket Board’s offer and will take over as Pakistan’s head coach.
Najam Sethi, the head of the fourteen-member management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), contacted the former South African player on his role in the new organization.
According to the sources, Mickey Arthur will join the team before the eighth session of the Pakistan Super League.
During Arthur’s tenure as national team coach from 2016 to 2019, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy.
The new PCB administration is reorganizing the board and has dismissed the governing body and selection committee chaired by Mohammad Wasim. It has also reportedly been decided not to renew the contracts of head coach Saqlain Mushtaq and bowling coach Shaun Tait.
