Internationally renowned singer Michael Bolton has provided an important update regarding his health on social media.
On Friday, Bolton, 70, revealed on his Instagram account that he was diagnosed with a brain tumour recently. He shared, “Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumour, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success.” This news has come as a shock to his fans and followers worldwide.
Bolton announced that he is now focusing on his recovery at home, surrounded by the love and support of his family. He stated, “I am now recuperating at home… I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery, which means I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring.” The “To Love Somebody” singer expressed his reluctance to disappoint fans or postpone shows, acknowledging it as one of his “hardest” things.
In his message, Bolton expressed gratitude for his fans’ continuous support: “I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me through the years.” He promised to provide more updates when possible and signed off with a heartfelt, “Much love always, MB.”
